Hillingdon Food Bank help the growing number of people who live below the poverty line, which now affects 1 in 5 of us.Their manager Vine-Daniels said “The Hillingdon food bank relies on donations to keep hunger off the streets of our community. This donation will go a long way to put smiles on the faces of a lot of families during this yuletide season. ”
We are in a far more privileged position than many of those who need the support of foodbanks so it is a very worthwhile cause that we are happy to support. It is horrendous that in 2018, the country has so many foodbanks and that local authority funding for a range of charities is being cut. It is up to company’s like ours and we would suggest many others to, to try and bridge the gap. These sort of charities, whilst hugely important, should not be needed in modern society.
